50 Ways to Bless Someone (2024)

BY: Deana Bell, Director, Restored Marriage

Hebrews 10:24-25 "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near." (NLT)

I believe that through giving

during our greatest need

we will receive back ten fold what we have given.

2 Corinthians 9:6-8 "The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each on must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." (ESV)

I believe we need to cultivate a culture of blessing among our CK family and in the world. The purpose of this list is to inspire you to give back, even if you haven't been a giver in the past, or you find yourself in need. Blessing someone doesn't always mean spending a lot of money, but it DOES mean thinking less about yourself and more about others.

Genesis 28:20-22 "Then Jacob made a vow, saying, 'If God will be with me and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give them bread to eat and clothing to wear, so that I come again to my father's house in peace, then the Lord shall be my God, and this stone, which I have set up for a pillar, shall be God's house. And of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you.'"

I challenge you to think about the things that God has ALREADY done for you. Not what He will do, but what He has already done. Praise Him and thank Him for His goodness, everyday. Create a culture of blessing in your own heart.

1 Samuel 12:24 "Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all of your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you." (ESV)

Ephesians 2:8 "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God..."

I challenge you to ask God whether or not you have made your spouse, your marriage or your restoration an idol. If you have, repent and know that you have been forgiven. Then, try taking your focus off what you have made an idol and try moving it back onto the Lord where it belongs. Think about how Jesus, himself, went to the cross, when He, himself, knew no sin.

Exodus 20:3 "You shall have no other gods before me...." (ESV)

Jonah 2:8 "Those who pay regard to vain idols forsake their hope of steadfast love." (ESV)

Psalm 16:4 "The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply..." (ESV)

Leave a comment below telling us what ways to bless someone you can think of. We can't wait to see what other ways we can all put together to bless the people around us and those we have not yet met.

Jeremiah 17:7 "But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence."

Luke 6:38 "Give, and you will receive. You gift will return to you in full - pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back."

Much love,
Deana
