There are a number of ways to get from Bali to Lombok by fast boat. From south Bali Denpasar area, you can take a fast boat from Serangan to Bangsal harbor in north Lombok (close to the Gili Islands). Gili Getaway, Eka Jaya and Blue Water Express offer this route. From Padang Bai Blue Water Express, Eka Jaya and Gili Gili Fast boat run daily. There is also an option from Sanur to Bangsal with Scoot Cruises, although this trip is longer as they via Lembongan.
Alternatively, if you're simply looking for the cheapest possible way to get to Lombok, there is a public slow ferry departing hourly during the day from Padang Bai harbor, sailing to Lembar harbour in the south of Lombok. The Bali to Lombok ferry travel time can take up to 6 hours and the conditions on board are often uncomfortable and cramped.
