Ted Lasso is an American sports comedy-drama television series developed by Bill Lawrence, Jason Sudeikis, Joe Kelly, and Brendan Hunt. Starring Jason Sudeikis, Toheeb Jimoh, Stephen Manas, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Nick Mohammed, Juno Temple, Billy Harris, and Kola Bokinni, the series follows the story of an American football coach, Ted Lasso played by Jason Sudeikis. It premiered on August 14, 2020, on Apple TV+, received good reviews, and won "Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy" (Jason Sudeikis) at the 2021 Golden Globes. The second season of the series was released on July 23, 2021. Ted Lasso was shot at Hayes & Yeading United Football Club in Beaconsfield Road, Hayes, and Selhurst Park Stadium in Selhurst, London. Filming also took place at West London Film Studios.
